yeah, i bet this was funny back in 2009
In November of 2009, when this piece was written, we were pretty certain it was funny. Or, you know, topical at least. Now, nine months later, there’s really no telling. Coming late to the party, you have to expect a certain amount of “I guess you had to be there.” Thanks, though, alfredo (BTW, nice use of the e. e. cummings-esque lowercase, guy), for trying to envision what it must have been like to read this post when it was written. Like, again, nine months ago.
Unless, of course, you are sincerely and somewhat wistfully looking back, hoping however impossibly (unless you have a time machine and are holding out on us) that you might have basked in the topical glow of ’09 Jai Alai humor, in which case, yeah, man, it was.
