1. Codpiece Tag should only be played during intermission.
2. Athletic cups may not be used in place of codpieces.
3. A player is “tagged” when he or she feels a codpiece touch his or her person. This results in the loss of a point.
4. A player subsequently gains a point when he or she touches someone participating in Codpiece Tag.
5. A “codpiece-to-codpiece tag” will score 2 points for the player who initiates the contact. This does not, however, take 2 points away from the player who receives the “codpiece-to-codpiece tag.” That recipient loses only 1 point.
6. If a player–in any way–reveals the fact that there is an active game of Codpiece Tag going on, then that player is disqualified AND suspended from the next game.
7. Codpiece Tag should never be played during La Traviata.
8. While players may use aggressive tactics in tagging one another with their codpieces, excessive force is not condoned and will not be tolerated by the other players. Such force that “breaks the skin” or leaves a “lasting” bruise will be considered excessive.
9. Once a player has “tagged” another player, he or she cannot tag that same person again for points.
10. The player with the most points at the end of intermission is the winner.
11. In the extreme and highly unlikely case that a codpiece should crack or break during Codpiece Tag, all play will stop immediately.
