Did it keep my tracheostomy scar from getting wet? Yes. But how much of that depends on the shower? I have a standard wall-mounted shower head, so I was fine. Let’s say, however, that I had one of those detachable heads that spurt unpredictably? Isn’t that just the thing to sneak under my shield when I’m washing the back of my knees? There’s no warning for that. There’s no warning against those showers with several heads aligned for total body coverage. And is it too much to ask for a bath model?

Thank you! I thought I was the only one. My family’s been all like “At least you still got a voicebox” and I’ve been like “you don’t know. You haven’t got the first goddamn clue.”
You understand. Bless you.
