At some point you just ask yourself, “Could anyone pull the rope?”
The answer is, “Yes, even a child could be taught to pull the rope.”
I try to convince myself that it takes a certain type
of person to watch a blade sever the head from the body,
but then I realize, no.
Anyone, if ignored by his father enough, could be a great guillotine attendant.

It would be my luck that my executioner would set up this huge Rube Goldberg machine that throws the lever…just out of eyesight.
